- Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
Sec. 2.9. As a condition of probation, the court shall inform an offender against children (as described in IC 35-42-4-11) of the residency restrictions described in IC 35-42-4-11(c)(1).
