- Adjourn: A motion to adjourn a legislative chamber or a committee, if passed, ends that day's session.
- Recess: A temporary interruption of the legislative business.
If the purpose for which the joint convention is assembled is not concluded, the president shall adjourn or recess the same from time to time as the members present may determine.
