Terms Used In Iowa Code 515B.14
- Association: means the Iowa insurance guaranty association created pursuant to section 515B. See Iowa Code 515B.2
- Board: means the engineering and land surveying examining board provided by this chapter. See Iowa Code 542B.2
- Commissioner: means the commissioner of insurance of this state. See Iowa Code 515B.2
- Insurer: means an insurer licensed to transact insurance business in this state under either chapter 515 or chapter 520, either at the time the policy was issued or when the insured event occurred. See Iowa Code 515B.2
- Person: means any individual, corporation, partnership, association, or voluntary organization. See Iowa Code 515B.2
There shall be no liability on the part of, and no cause of action of any nature shall arise against a member insurer, the association or its agents or employees, the board of directors or any person serving as an alternate or substitute representative of any director, or the commissioner or the commissioner’s representatives, for any action taken or any failure to act by them in the performance of their duties and powers under this chapter.
