Terms Used In Iowa Code 518C.15
- Association: means the Iowa county and state mutual insurance guaranty association established pursuant to section 518C. See Iowa Code 518C.3
- Board: means the engineering and land surveying examining board provided by this chapter. See Iowa Code 542B.2
- Commissioner: means the commissioner of insurance. See Iowa Code 518C.3
- Insurer: means a person licensed to transact insurance business in this state under either chapter 518 or chapter 518A either at the time the policy was issued or when the insured event occurred. See Iowa Code 518C.3
- Person: means an individual, corporation, partnership, association, or voluntary organization. See Iowa Code 518C.3
There shall be no liability on the part of, and no cause of action of any nature shall arise against, any member insurer, the association or its agents or employees, the board of directors, any committee established for the purpose of administering the affairs of the association, or any person serving as an alternate or substitute representative director of the association, or the commissioner, or the commissioner’s representatives, for any reasonable action taken or any reasonable failure to act by them in the performance of their duties and powers under this chapter.
