Terms Used In Iowa Code 522C.4
- Commissioner: means the commissioner of insurance. See Iowa Code 522C.2
- Person: means an individual or a business entity. See Iowa Code 522C.2
- Public adjuster: means any person who for compensation or any other thing of value acts on behalf of an insured by doing any of the following:a. See Iowa Code 522C.2
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" may include the said district and territories. See Iowa Code 4.1
A person shall not operate as or represent that the person is a public adjuster in this state unless the person is licensed by the commissioner in accordance with this chapter.
