Terms Used In Iowa Code 535D.12

  • Mortgage: The written agreement pledging property to a creditor as collateral for a loan.
  • Nationwide mortgage licensing system and registry: means a mortgage licensing system developed and maintained by the conference of state bank supervisors and the American association of residential mortgage regulators for the licensing and registration of licensed mortgage loan originators. See Iowa Code 535D.3
  • Rule: includes "regulation". See Iowa Code 4.1
  • Superintendent: means the superintendent of banking appointed pursuant to section 524. See Iowa Code 535D.3
 The superintendent shall establish a process by rule whereby mortgage loan originators may challenge information entered into the nationwide mortgage licensing system and registry by the superintendent.
