Iowa Code 602.1305 – Distribution of revenues of the district court

Bail: Security given for the release of a criminal defendant or witness from legal custody (usually in the form of money) to secure his/her appearance on the day and time appointed.

All fees, costs, forfeited bail, and other court revenues collected by the district court shall be distributed as provided in article 8.
