Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 17-2335

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.

Such corporation shall be subject to the tax imposed by Kan. Stat. Ann. § 79-1108 et seq., upon banks, and shall be subject to the examination, supervision and control of the bank commissioner and shall make such report of its condition from time to time as the bank commissioner shall require. In addition all funds set apart as a surplus under the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. § 17-2333 shall be subject to the tax imposed upon banks by Kan. Stat. Ann. § 79-1108 et seq.
