  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

Any stock certificate issued by a public benefit corporation shall note conspicuously that the corporation is a public benefit corporation formed pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 17-72a01 through 17-72a09, and amendments thereto. Any notice given by a public benefit corporation pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. § 17-6401(f), and amendments thereto, shall state conspicuously that the corporation is a public benefit corporation formed pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 17-72a01 through 17-72a09, and amendments thereto.
