  • Joint committee: Committees including membership from both houses of teh legislature. Joint committees are usually established with narrow jurisdictions and normally lack authority to report legislation.

Secretarial services shall be provided for the joint committee by a secretary or secretaries recruited and supervised by the director of legislative administrative services in the manner provided by Kan. Stat. Ann. § 46-1212a. Other staff assistance shall be provided by the office of the revisor of statutes, the legislative research department and such other legislative offices and employees as may be directed by the legislative coordinating council.
