Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 46-917

  • Joint committee: Committees including membership from both houses of teh legislature. Joint committees are usually established with narrow jurisdictions and normally lack authority to report legislation.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

The joint committee on special claims against the state is hereby authorized to adopt such procedural guidelines, not inconsistent with the provisions of this act, as may be necessary for orderly procedure in the filing, investigation, hearing and disposition of claims before it.
