(a) In developing solid waste plans or the implementation of a solid waste program in conformance with Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 65-3401 through 65-3415, and amendments thereto, and rules and regulations adopted thereunder, cities, counties or multiples or combinations thereof shall consider demographic and geographic differences within their area of jurisdiction in promulgating solid waste plans and programs, and the board shall consider the demographic and geographic variations in giving approval or denying approval of such plans and programs.

(b) Any action of the secretary pursuant to the provisions of article 34 of chapter 65 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, and amendments thereto, is subject to review in accordance with the Kansas judicial review act.

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

  • Solid waste: means garbage, refuse, waste tires as defined by Kan. See Kansas Statutes 65-3402
