Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 65-5711

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • Property: includes personal and real property. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

The secretary of health and environment, the adjutant general or the attorney general or their respective authorized representatives shall have the power to enter at all reasonable times upon any private or public property and inspect the premises and all relevant business or other records for the purpose of determining whether there is compliance with or violation of the provisions of this act and rules and regulations issued pursuant thereto, except that entry into areas under the jurisdiction of the federal government shall be effected only with the concurrence of the federal government or its duly designated representative.
