Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 74-32,422

  • Career technical education: means organized educational programs offering a sequence of courses which are directly related to the preparation of individuals in paid or unpaid employment in current or emerging occupations requiring other than a baccalaureate or advanced degree.   • State board: means the state board of regents. See Kansas Statutes 74-3275
  • Term: means one of two or more substantially equivalent divisions of the academic year of an eligible institution. See Kansas Statutes 74-3284

(a) The state board of regents shall initiate the development of a statewide articulation agreement on career technical education programs among the high schools, community colleges, technical colleges and the institute of technology.

(b) For the purposes of this section, the term “articulation agreement” means an agreement entered into to provide for the transferability of substantially equivalent courses of study or programs.
