(1) The General Assembly, by joint resolution, may appoint one (1) or more of its members, who sponsored or cosponsored 2021 Regular Session SB 9, 2021
Ky. Acts ch.1, in his or her official capacity, to intervene as a matter of right in any case in which the constitutionality of this law is challenged.

  • Joint resolution: A legislative measure which requires the approval of both chambers.

(2) Nothing in this section shall be construed as a waiver or diminishment of any constitutional, common law, or statutory defenses, privileges, or immunities that may apply to any legislator, legislative staff, legislative agency or entity, or the legislative branch.
