“Farmers of low income,” as used in KRS § 80.510 and KRS § 80.530, shall mean persons or families who at the time of their admission to occupancy in a dwelling of a housing authority:
(1) Live under unsafe or unsanitary housing conditions;

  • authority: means any housing authority created pursuant to this chapter. See Kentucky Statutes 80.010
  • Housing: means a building or buildings containing rooms to be provided as living quarters, together with shops, stores, garages, laundries, doctors' and dentists' offices, and other facilities and appurtenances deemed reasonably necessary by the housing authority to the successful and economical operation of the project. See Kentucky Statutes 80.010

(2) Derive their principal income from operating or working upon a farm; and
(3) Had an aggregate average annual net income for the three (3) years preceding their admission that was less than the amount determined by the housing authority to be necessary, within its area of operation, to enable them, without financial assistance, to obtain decent, safe and sanitary housing, without overcrowding.
