Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 40:2120.55
- Certified nurse aide: means a certified nursing assistant or certified nurse aide employed by a nursing facility or contracted by a nursing facility. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 40:2120.51
- Nursing facility: means a nursing home licensed by the Louisiana Department of Health pursuant to La. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 40:2120.51
Prior to employing or contracting with a certified nurse aide, a nursing facility shall verify through the Louisiana’s Certified Nurse Aide Registry that the certified nurse aide is currently certified and has a current state registration.
