  • Clerk of court: An officer appointed by the court to work with the chief judge in overseeing the court's administration, especially to assist in managing the flow of cases through the court and to maintain court records.

All contracts of exchange made under the provisions of La. Rev. Stat. 48:702 shall be in notarial form.  They shall be followed by an ordinance or dedication of the new road, street, or alley, with reference to plans made by the parish engineer or a similar official duly authorized by the governing authority of the parish.  These plans shall be recorded in the office of the clerk of court and recorder of the parish where the exchange is made.
