Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 13:3203

  • Plaintiff: The person who files the complaint in a civil lawsuit.
  • Venue: The geographical location in which a case is tried.

A suit on a cause of action described in La. Rev. Stat. 13:3201 may be instituted in the parish where the plaintiff is domiciled, or in any parish of proper venue.
