Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 22:1583

  • Bail: Security given for the release of a criminal defendant or witness from legal custody (usually in the form of money) to secure his/her appearance on the day and time appointed.

Except as provided by the regulations authorized in this Subpart, bail enforcement agents shall be subject to the same licensing and fee requirements as bail bond producers.
