Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 23:1576
- Administrator: means the secretary of the Louisiana Workforce Commission. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 23:1472
- Employer: means :
(a) Any employing unit which in any calendar quarter in either the current or preceding calendar year paid for services in employment wages of one thousand five hundred dollars or more for some portion of a day in each of twenty different calendar weeks, whether or not such weeks were consecutive, in either the current or the preceding calendar year, had in employment at least one individual regardless of whether the same individual was in employment each day. Each employer shall file with the administrator a notice of separation from service in a form prescribed by the administrator with respect to each employee who leaves its employ for any cause which may be potentially disqualifying and shall therein provide the date of separation, a full explanation of the cause or causes therefor, and all requested information about payments made to the separated employee. The notice shall be mailed, delivered, or transmitted to the administrator and to the separated employee within three days after the date on which the separation from service occurred.
