Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 40:533
- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
Any vacancy in an unexpired term shall be filled for the remainder of the term. Vacancies shall be filled by the same authority and in the same manner as the original appointment.
