  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.

When the Secretary or his designee is of the opinion that the requirements of the public and of the department can be provided for by the use of microfilm copies of the original files and documents, such originals may be destroyed three years following the date when the record was made and the microfilm copies thereof shall be admissable in evidence in all courts and administrative agency proceedings in accordance with the provisions of La. Rev. Stat. 44:39.
