Terms Used In Maine Revised Statutes Title 22 Sec. 678
- Department: means the Department of Health and Human Services. See Maine Revised Statutes Title 22 Sec. 1-A
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
State regulation of source material processing shall be subject to the primary jurisdiction of the Department of Environmental Protection, as specified in Title 38. [PL 1983, c. 345, §§13, 14 (NEW).]
