- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
That it shall be the duty of the state treasurer to keep the accounts of the treasurer with all banks or depositories where any moneys of the state may be kept or deposited upon the regular books of his office so that each item of all such accounts shall appear therein.
