Terms Used In Michigan Laws 32.514

  • Military: means a reference to all components of the state military establishment. See Michigan Laws 32.505
  • Special duty: means military service in support of the full-time operation of the state military establishment for a period of not less than 1 day if ordered by competent authority. See Michigan Laws 32.505
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
   During periods of active state service or special duty, the administrative workday shall consist of 24 hours and the administrative workweek shall consist of 7 days for officers and enlisted personnel of the state military establishment. The adjutant general shall prescribe the length of the actual workday and the days of the actual workweek within the administrative workday and workweek.
