  • Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, as well as to individuals. See Michigan Laws 8.3l
   A person injured by a violation of this act may bring a civil action for injunctive relief. In addition, an injured person is entitled to actual damages caused by the violation, reasonable attorney’s fees, and costs.
