The provisions of section 1311 to 1319 do not apply to:
(a) Any transaction subject to the provisions of chapter 76.
Terms Used In Michigan Laws 500.1317
- Commissioner: means the director. See Michigan Laws 500.102
- Insurer: means that term as defined in section 106 and includes a nonprofit dental care corporation operating under 1963 PA 125, MCL 550. See Michigan Laws 500.1301
(b) Any offer, request, invitation, agreement, or acquisition that the commissioner by order exempts as not having been made or entered into for the purpose and not having the effect of changing or influencing the control of a domestic insurer or as otherwise not comprehended within the purposes of section 1311 to 1319.
