  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories.    As determined by the county board of commissioners, the register of deeds either shall be covered by a blanket bond or shall give a bond to the people of this state in the penal sum of at least $3,000.00. The individual bond shall be approved by the county board of commissioners and secured by a surety company authorized to do business in this state.
