  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
  • hereafter: means the time after the statute containing it takes effect. See Missouri Laws 1.020

Every grant, aid, pension or assistance under the provisions of this law shall be deemed to be granted and shall be held subject to the provisions of any amendment or repealing law that may hereafter be passed, and no recipient under this law shall have any claim for compensation or otherwise by reason of his assistance being changed, affected, or discontinued by such amending or repealing law or laws.
