Missouri Laws 382.605 – Definitions
As used in sections 382.600 to 382.640, the following terms shall mean:
(1) “Corporate governance annual disclosure” or “CGAD”, a confidential report filed by the insurer or insurance group made in accordance with the requirements of sections 382.600 to 382.640;

- following: when used by way of reference to any section of the statutes, mean the section next preceding or next following that in which the reference is made, unless some other section is expressly designated in the reference. See Missouri Laws 1.020
- State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020
- United States: includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020
(2) “Director”, the director of the department of commerce and insurance, his or her deputies, or the department of commerce and insurance, as applicable;
(3) “Insurance group”, those insurers and affiliates included within an insurance holding company system as defined in section 382.010;
(4) “Insurer”, an insurance company as defined in section 375.012; except that it shall not include agencies, authorities, or instrumentalities of the United States, its possessions and territories, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, or a state or political subdivision of a state;
(5) “NAIC”, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners;
(6) “ORSA summary report”, the report filed in accordance with sections 382.500 to 382.550.
