May third each year is hereby designated as “Shelley v. Kraemer Day” in Missouri. The citizens of this state are encouraged to participate in appropriate events and activities to recognize the historical impact of the United States Supreme Court case originating in St. Louis that held racially restrictive covenants in residential neighborhoods are not enforceable in state court.
