Terms Used In Nebraska Statutes > Clinical Nurse Specialist Practice Act

  • Action: shall include any proceeding in any court of this state. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
  • Approved certifying body: means a national certification organization which (1) is approved by the board, (2) certifies qualified licensed registered nurses for advanced practice, (3) has eligibility requirements related to education and practice, and (4) offers an examination in an area of practice which meets psychometric guidelines and tests approved by the board. See Nebraska Statutes 38-903
  • Board: means the Board of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses. See Nebraska Statutes 38-904
  • Clinical nurse specialist: means a registered nurse certified as described in section 38-908 and licensed under the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Practice Act to practice as a clinical nurse specialist in the State of Nebraska. See Nebraska Statutes 38-905
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Mortgage: The written agreement pledging property to a creditor as collateral for a loan.
  • Person: shall include bodies politic and corporate, societies, communities, the public generally, individuals, partnerships, limited liability companies, joint-stock companies, and associations. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
  • State: when applied to different states of the United States shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories organized by Congress. See Nebraska Statutes 49-801
