Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 189.060

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Dismissal: The dropping of a case by the judge without further consideration or hearing. Source:

(a) For failure to take the same in time.

(b) For failure to appear in the district court when required.

2.  If the appeal is dismissed, a copy of the order of dismissal must be remitted to the justice, who may proceed to enforce the judgment.
