‘Nonjudicial punishment’ means punishment that is imposed:

- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
1. Pursuant to NRS 412.286 to 412.302, inclusive;
2. Against an accused, through the chain of command, by the accused’s commanding officer or other officer in charge; and
3. Without a trial by court-martial.
