1. Any person injured by a violation of NRS 597.8191 to 597.8198, inclusive, may bring an action for recovery of damages or for declaratory or equitable relief.

- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- Equitable: Pertaining to civil suits in "equity" rather than in "law." In English legal history, the courts of "law" could order the payment of damages and could afford no other remedy. See damages. A separate court of "equity" could order someone to do something or to cease to do something. See, e.g., injunction. In American jurisprudence, the federal courts have both legal and equitable power, but the distinction is still an important one. - person: means a natural person, any form of business or social organization and any other nongovernmental legal entity including, but not limited to, a corporation, partnership, association, trust or unincorporated organization. See Nevada Revised Statutes 0.039
- Plaintiff: The person who files the complaint in a civil lawsuit.
2. In addition to the relief authorized by this section, the court may award reasonable attorney’s fees and costs to a plaintiff that prevails under this section.
