Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 110-B:37-a

  • Active duty: means full-time duty as an enlisted member, or as a commissioned or warrant officer, in any branch of the armed forces. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:50
  • national guard: shall mean and refer to the army national guard and the air national guard unless otherwise indicated. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 110-B:1-a
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
There is established a death benefit in the amount of $100,000 for each activated New Hampshire army national guard or New Hampshire air national guard member who dies while on state active duty or as the result of injuries incurred on state active duty. This death benefit shall be paid by the adjutant general, with the approval of the fiscal committee of the general court, on the warrant of the governor, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
