In this subdivision:
I. “Fund” means the homeless prevention fund.

Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 204-C:81

  • Housing: shall mean one or more new or existing dwelling units in the state financed pursuant to this chapter, including homes for persons with disabilities, mobile homes, prefabricated homes, any buildings, land, improvements, equipment, facilities or other real or personal properties which are deemed by the authority to be necessary, convenient, ancillary or desirable in connection with such dwelling units, and including, but not limited to, streets, sewers, utilities, parks, site preparation, off-site facilities, landscaping and other nonhousing facilities such as administrative, community, transportation, health, recreational, educational, commercial, retail, welfare and public facilities.   • person: may extend and be applied to bodies corporate and politic as well as to individuals. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:9
  • United States: shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4

II. “Housing assistance payments” means rent subsidies, security deposit advances, mortgage assistance payments, and any other shelter cost-related payments made on behalf of very low income households.
III. “Minor child” means a person under 18 years of age.
IV. “Severely rent burdened” means a household for which the monthly rent and utility costs exceed 50 percent of the gross monthly income.
V. “Very low income households” means individuals or families whose gross income is 50 percent or less of the median income, adjusted for household size, as published periodically by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
