Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 214:20-k

  • Arrest: Taking physical custody of a person by lawful authority.
  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies corporate and politic as well as to individuals. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:9
  • Probable cause: A reasonable ground for belief that the offender violated a specific law.
Notwithstanding any other statutory provisions of the law to the contrary, a law enforcement officer may, without a warrant, arrest any person involved in any shooting related directly to target practicing, hunting, taking, or attempting to take wildlife, when that officer has probable cause to believe that such person has violated the provisions of N.H. Rev. Stat. § 214:20 or 214:20-a.
