Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 325:15

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
No corporation or partnership shall be issued a license as a funeral director nor shall any corporation or partnership or any individual connected therewith publicly advertise such corporation or partnership as being licensed funeral directors. This section shall not apply to any corporation licensed prior to January 1, 1953, nor to any corporation whose application for a license or certificate was pending before the board on that date.
