Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 477:20
- Devise: To gift property by will.
- real estate: shall include lands, tenements, and hereditaments, and all rights thereto and interests therein. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:21

An alien resident in this state may take, purchase, hold, convey or devise real estate, and it may descend in the same manner as if he were a citizen.
