I. Notwithstanding the provisions of N.H. Rev. Stat. § 477:7, a notice of lease consisting of an instrument in writing executed and acknowledged by all persons who are parties to the lease, and containing the following information with reference to such lease shall be sufficient compliance with the provisions of this chapter:
(a) The names and addresses of each party to the lease;

Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 477:7-a

  • following: when used by way of reference to any section of these laws, shall mean the section next preceding or following that in which such reference is made, unless some other is expressly designated. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:13
  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC

(b) The date of execution of the lease;
(c) A description of the demised premises as it appears in the lease;
(d) The term of such lease; and
(e) The date of commencement of such term and all rights of extension or renewal.
II. All notices of lease which have been acknowledged and recorded according to the provisions of this section since August 15, 1981, but which were not witnessed, shall be considered valid under this section.
