- Reporter: Makes a record of court proceedings and prepares a transcript, and also publishes the court's opinions or decisions (in the courts of appeals).
- state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
For the benefit of the general fund of the state, there shall be paid to the reporter for any service rendered by the reporter such fees as shall from time to time be established by the court.
