Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 512:19

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
  • Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.
Upon a motion for trial by jury pursuant to N.H. Rev. Stat. § 512:18, an issue shall be framed under the direction of the court as to the liability of the trustee, and, upon the trial, the depositions taken by either party may be used as evidence.
