Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 514:14

  • Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
  • petition: when used in connection with the equity jurisdiction of the superior court, and referring to a document filed with the court, shall mean complaint, and "petitioner" shall mean plaintiff. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:51
The court shall order notice to be given, in such manner as due process of law requires, of any petition, complaint, libel, application, or motion in writing filed therein, and no judgment, decree, or ruling shall be rendered thereon absent compliance with such order.
