  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • Probate: Proving a will
In any proceeding before a probate court involving material facts which are in dispute, the probate court shall have jurisdiction to try such factual issues to court after due notice to all interested parties. However, the probate court may, if the interests of an estate require it, appoint a special administrator under N.H. Rev. Stat. § 553:20.
