- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
Neglect or failure on the part of any municipality to comply with such orders shall be deemed willful neglect of duty, and it shall be subject to the penalties and damages provided by law in such cases.
