Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 9-C:1
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
- state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
State government has an obligation to put into practice, as part of its own operations, the interdependent principles of waste reduction, recycling, and recycled products purchase. State agencies shall strive to maximize the application of these principles in their normal operations. This chapter shall apply to all state agencies, as defined in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 9-C:2, V, whether or not they are required to make purchases through the division of procurement and support services in the department of administrative services.
