Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 12:10-9

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
The port warden, upon request and upon payment of the regular fee, shall furnish a certificate of any record in the books of his office to any parties interested therein. All certificates shall be under the seal of and signed by the warden and shall be evidence in any court of this state of the existence and contents of the record.
