Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 38A:13-5
- Dependent: A person dependent for support upon another.
- State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
The amount found by the Adjutant General to be due a member or his dependent family shall be paid by the State in the same manner as other State payments are made.
